Futuresign Digital Network provides commercial grade media screen hardware and software solutions in the form of ‘Digital Player Systems’, designed to reliably deliver high impact multi-point digital signage solutions to your business’s on-site clientele.
There are three basic components to our Digital Player Systems: the player hardware, the player software, the displays.
The Player Hardware
Industrial Grade Computer, running Windows 7 Embedded. The computer is integrated into the back of the display and includes special reliability hardware that will reboot the computer in the event of either a software failure or a Windows failure thus ensuring the computer is always working properly. All systems can have high speed Internet access (optional) that is built into each display system.
The Player Software
USE AS A SCHEDULER (OPTIONAL) - When used as a dedicated Scheduler the intuitive visual interface allows scheduling of events on multiple screens in multiple rooms. Events can be scheduled as far into the future as desired. The scheduler can also handle recurring appointments, appointments that repeat for a number of days or on a pattern such as weekly. This eliminates the need to enter every individual event in the series. It is similar in use to the Outlook Calendar program. It displays the schedules on a screen or screens near the events, in a multitude of formats and in real time.
USE FOR INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATIONS - Build upon a provided PowerPoint Template to communicate a myriad of information to your clients such as special promotions, upcoming events, in-house advertising, etc. which can be changed quickly, easily, and frequently, depending on your desired usage.
USE AS A PLAYER WITH LIVE TV CONTENT - A section of the screen can be used to convey Live TV contents such as TSN or CP24, with a feed from ExpressVu or Rogers Cable if such signals are provided by your organization.
The Displays
The displays from Sharp and LG, and are Commercial Grade displays, capable of running 24/7/365 for 8 years without an issue. When turned off during overnight hours, this should extend life to over a decade. The displays are zero clearance, fanless and one of only 3 series in the world that are free from residual images forming if the same information is on the screen for a long time. There are no external buttons or controls on the displays, eliminating the ability for tampering.
The commercial grade displays we use work with Futuresign’s “EnsuredOn” technology. This means the displays are always on when needed and automatically turned off or on as appropriate to match the hours of your location(s). This preserves power, extends the life of the displays and removes any need for local staff to interact with the equipment.
The Complete Digital Player System
Combining displays that are always on when needed and computers that are running reliably, this is a system that you can count on year after year. The display, software, and hardware are all integrated into a single “unit” resulting in a unit with only the power cord being external. This integration of components into a single unit results in easy, fast wiring installs, that we call “Hang and Plug”. There is no equipment in the way of staff. (Satellite or Cable required in the case of Live TV)
